Cowley Studios is a photography studio based in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.

Size really does matter

Who needs a massive bloated 12,000 ft studio with twenty assistants hurrying around? Why pay for that? We host a stylish 1000sq. foot studio with high ceilings, comprising of a large shooting area, a changing-room/make-up area, and a comfortable lounge (with shag carpet!) to entertain clients, check your email on our wireless internet or hang out during shooting. We want you to feel like the studio is your own.

We’re flexible

Cowley Studios is available for one day or up to a week. Or you may be a freelance photographer or stylist just needing a fully-equipped studio. We can accommodate your needs.

We’re fully equipped

We have a set of Speedotron black-line lights (3 heads) with pocket wizard syncs and wireless lightmeter available for your use for an extra $35.

We’ve put black-out shades on the windows for those who need long exposures or specialist lighting set-ups.

Not a "professional" photographer, but feel like you have the artistic eye to do the job yourself and the digital know-how to edit it? We’ll set up the lights for you (basic set-up) at the beginning of the shoot.

Lower Day Rates:

Rates are $150 for a 1/2 day (four hours or less) and $250 for up to eight hours.

Shooting late? No problem: for up to 12 hours the flat rate is $400.
